A traditional, delicious danish breakfast pastry, similar to donut holes.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- ¾ cup cream or milk
- 1 cup flour
- 4 tbsp cooled melted butter
- Pinch cardamom
- ¼ tsp salt
- Pre-heat pan on the stove on medium high heat.
- Add all ingredients to a bowl and stir until batter is smooth.
- Add butter to a pan and pour batter into the pan. When one side of the Æbleskiver is golden brown, turn the heat to medium. When the other side is cooked, turn again and remove it from the pan after the Æbleskiver is cooked through. Serve with jam and powdered sugar immediately.
