Halloween is a festive time at PCS, full of bewitching costumes and abundant creativity. From Ms. Williams’ historical figure costumes, to activities like the costume contest, the end of October is always enthralling. But how can you participate without a good costume? For those of you who haven’t decided yet, here are a couple recommendations! First, it is important to note that Halloween must be fun for everyone. That means refraining from costumes that perpetuate stereotypes- anything that is racist, ableist, or could be called cultural appropriation. Weapons, as well as excessive blood or gore, are not allowed on campus. Lastly, for the sake of safety, you must be identifiable at all times and can not wear full-face masks or other facial coverings that make it difficult to recognize you. For group costumes, consider Inside Out emotions, Care Bears, or Mario Kart characters. Funny single person costumes could be The Lorax or Gru from Despicable Me. Inflatable dinosaurs or other blow-up costumes are always a great choice. For any last minute costume ideas, think about being an M&M. All you need is a solid colored t-shirt and a white ‘M’. We hope you have an amazing Halloween!
